Chris is a Mexican filmmaker who grew up between Mexico and the US. She currently resides in New York City.
She considers herself an anthropologist masquerading as a filmmaker, using her films as a way to research how environment dictates human behavior at the individual level — the independent variables being the worlds she meticulously builds for her characters.
She is also an environmentalist and likes to partner with fellow artists to create films and multimedia projects that tackle issues of climate change and sustainability.
